Roses on Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day, stampers!

Today's the day to share your love!  Don't reserve today just for romantic love... spread it around to everyone... friends, family, neighbors, co-workers.  If it is too late for this year, there's always next year when you can take some cookies next door, bring a small chocolate treat for your co-workers, and send Valentines to your family and friends.  Oh and don't forget you can always cook a special meal for that special someone, as Valentine's Day at most restaurants is crowded and crazy.

This is going to be a very quick post today, as I'm going out to lunch with my sweetie.  But I do have a card for you and it does have roses on it.  However, it is not a Valentine's Day card.... it is a LOT late for that!  This pretty card falls into the quick and easy category, although it doesn't look like it at first glance.  Here it is...

Let me give you a super-quick list of what I used :
Stamps:  Apothecary Art (in Occasions Mini-catalog)
Paper:  Whisper White and Pretty in Pink
Ink:  Cherry Cobbler
Accessories:  Labels Collection Framelits (Occasions Mini)
                      Finial Press embossing folder
                      Pretty in Pink Satin Ribbon
                      Blender Pen
                      Pear Pizzazz Marker
                      Dimensionals
After stamping the main image and cutting it out with the matching Label Framelit Die, I simply colored the roses pink with a blender pen.  Since the Cherry Cobbler ink is not a permanent ink, it runs when wet and I took advantage of that to simply scribble over each rose with a blender pen, turning each one a beautiful pink!  So easy and fun to do.  Then I added the green with a Pear Pizzazz marker.
I love how this turned out!  What a pretty card to share with a friend, daughter, granddaughter, niece, or aunt.  I can't think of too many guys who would appreciate a card like this, though, so it is definitely a "girl thing."

OK stamping friends, that's it for today!  I will be back on Thursday with another classic card for your viewing pleasure and stamping inspiration.
Have a love-ly Valentine's Day!
Susan
