A Hug With a Fold in the Middle

Hi Stamping Friends!
Happy Tuesday!

It's not quite as pretty today... the clouds are beginning to gather and The Oregonian says rain is on the way.  Oh well, it's Oregon.  We know how to do rain!

Valentine's Day is almost here, the day set aside for all things "love."  And it's not all about romantic love, either.  We send Valentine greetings to all those we love:  Mom, Dad, sons, daughters, grandchildren, sisters, brothers, Aunts, Uncles, and friends as well as our husband or significant other.  What a great excuse to spread a little love around this old world, which can be a pretty cold and uncaring place sometimes. Have you ever heard this saying..."A card is a hug with a fold in the middle"?  That is certainly true and in the spirit of Valentine's Day, I've got a card that will brighten anyone's day and give them a little hug at the same time!  Here it is...

I must be quick in pointing out that this card is not my original design.  I've seen it in a number of locations, so I'm not sure who originated this design.  However, as it is quite simple, I'm pretty sure that several people came up with the same idea... that happens sometimes.  Just looking at this card makes me smile... it's so clean and crisp and fresh-looking.  Who wouldn't love finding this in their mailbox come February 14th?
Let me quickly go over the supplies I used.
Stamps:  Take it to Heart, p. 14 of the Occasions Mini
Teeny Tiny Wishes, p. 157 of the big catalog
Ink:  Cherry Cobbler
Paper:  Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler
Accessories:  Heart Framelit Dies, p. 14 of the Occasions Mini
Textured Impressions Embossing Folders (Tiny Hearts), p. 7 of Occasions Mini
Scalloped Dots Ribbon in Cherry Cobbler, p. 195 of the big catalog

OK, stampers, that's it for today!  Now it's time to get out your stamps, ink, and paper and get ready to send some "hugs with a fold in the middle" for Valentine's Day.  This simple but stunning card can be put together in just a few minutes, so you have time to make more than one.
Happy Hugging!
Susan
