Brrrr! Is it cold enough for you??
I have to admit that I'm a little disappointed that we didn't get the snow that was predicted for yesterday. After a long, warm fall the weather forecast of 4-6 inches of snow caught us off guard. The Mr. spent 3 hours waiting in line at Les Schwab on Wednesday afternoon to get our snow tires put on. Then Wednesday night about 11 pm I suddenly remembered that we hadn't closed the vents under the house and put the styrofoam blocks in place, so we bundled up, got a flashlight, and took care of the job. I don't recommend doing this job in the dark on a cold, cold night... not fun!
In observance of the cold snap, I've got a cool (and contemporary) card for you today.
Some Soft Sky card stock combines with All is Calm Designer Washi Tape (p. 22 of the Holiday catalog), some punched trees in Lost Lagoon and Pear Pizzazz, and a touch of Gorgeous Grunge speckles in Crumb Cake to make this clean, crisp, and cool card. The greeting is from the Project Life Holiday Cheer set. Although I'm not a Project Life scrapbooker, I do love the small images and sayings in this set. They are the perfect size for gift tags and small cards. Check out this versatile set on page 35 of the Holiday catalog. I added some Linen Thread and some silvery sequins to give the card a bit more dimension. I really love how this turned out and hope you do too!
Today's forecast looks much better than Thursday's, so hopefully the threat of snow, sleet, and other freezy things is over for the time being and we can get back to our regularly scheduled lives.
Have a great weekend and please come back on Monday for more stamping ideas.
Happy weekending, everyone!
Susan
