Happy x 3= a fun card

Hello Stampers and Happy Wednesday!

July is just whizzing by... can't believe it is already the 10th!  Only 7 more days until I wing my way to Salt Lake City for Stampin'Up!'s big 25th anniversary celebration/convention.  I'm so happy that I've finished all of my swap cards.  That is a huge relief!

Can a color be described as "happy?"  If so, I think today's card uses three of Stampin'Up!'s happiest colors:
Coastal Cabana, Crushed Curry, and Strawberry Slush.  I just love the carefree, informal look of this card.  Take a look and let me know if you like these colors together too---

Let me go through the quick and simple steps to create this card.  First, cut a background piece of Coastal Cabana card stock ( 5 1/2 by 4 1/4) Then cut a smaller piece of Whisper White ( 5 1/4 by 4).  Stamp the flower (from the darling new Flower Shop stamp set on page 94) in Strawberry Slush, Crushed Curry, and Coastal Cabana and then send the stamped panel through the Big Shot with the new Hexagon embossing folder.  Next, stamp a couple of flowers on a scrap, along with the sentiment (from the Really Good Greetings set on page 38).  Then punch it out with the 2 3/8 Scallop Circle punch and adhere it to a circle of Coastal Cabana card stock punched with the 2 1/2 inch Circle Punch (page 182). Some of the gorgeous new Chevron ribbon in Crushed Curry provides a nice strong horizontal element to the design and anchors the punched circles so they aren't just floating in space.  If you've got some basic pearls lying around, why not add one to the center of the flower to bling it up a bit.  What a bright and cheerful card!  I think just about anyone would be thrilled to find a card like this in their mailbox! It is so rare to get personal mail these days and when it is a hand-stamped card it is even more special.  So go ahead and spread a little happiness today.  Stamp a flowery greeting and give someone a lift!
