Summer Heat is on the Way!

Hello Stampers!
Happy Friday to all!  Look like a great weekend is on the horizon!

How do you feel about heat?  Is it your friend or enemy?  Some people feel so much better in warm weather, as their joints don't ache.  Others feel that the heat saps their energy.  Regardless of what group you fall into, warmer days are on the way (unless the weather forecasters are wrong again).  You know I'm a big fan of summery days and balmy nights and if it gets too hot, I'm thankful for the luxury of air-conditioning.  We really try not to use the a/c too much, but sometimes we "wimp out" and give ourselves a blast of cool for a couple of hours during the hottest part of the day.  So, I'm debating... do you want a cool card or a warm card today on this fine Friday?  I have an idea... let's go to the beach!

Can't you almost hear the cries of the seagulls and feel the cool ocean breeze on your face?
Here's the lowdown on this cool, beachy card:

Stamp Sets:  Wetlands (p. 69), Really Good Greetings, (p. 38).
Card stock:  Very Vanilla (for the focal panel), Soft Sky, Early Espresso
Ink:  So Saffron, Soft Sky, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso
Accessories:  Wood Grain Embossing Folder, Linen Thread, sponges

I used post-it paper to mask off the sky, ocean, and sand and the "sun" was masked off with a circle of post-it paper. This is such a simple card, but I love the look!  The little sandpipers were stamped in Early Espresso ink, as was the sentiment.  OK, stampers, that's my post for today.  Today is the big Woodhaven
Garage Sale and there are garage sales everywhere you look.  The sale continues on Saturday as well.  I've got some stampin' stuff (no surprise there!), so come on over!
Have a happy summery weekend!
Susan

  1. Very pretty, Susan! Love the texture that the debossed side of the Woodgrain embossing folder gives.
